CTN Accounting and Billing Clerk

The Colorado Telehealth Network (CTN) mission is to maximize access to health care services, especially in underserved regions of the state, through information and communications technology. CTN is the federally designated provider for Colorado's health care broadband infrastructure. CTN works in partnership with health information technology entities in the state.


Summary:

The position reports to the Director of Colorado Telehealth Network (CTN) and works directly with the Broadband Director and Billing Specialist to manage data entry and billing for all CTN programs.  


Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Update and maintain billing contact listings, committees, and distribution lists using internal database applications
  • Prepare CTN member data for computer entry, establish entry priorities, and compile database reports
  • Process customer and account documents by reviewing for discrepancies and returning incomplete documents for completion
  • Maintain billing schedules for approved and pending requests; provide schedules on a monthly/quarterly basis to accounting for invoicing and assist with year-end accrual entry.
  • Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies between billing schedules and accounting ledgers (reconciliations)
  • Ensure all billing and accrual deadlines are met in accordance with closing dates
  • Assist with maintenance of strong internal accounting controls
  • Ensure data base backups

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required (unless otherwise noted):

  • Associates Degree in Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent experience in an accounting environment, with an Associate’s degree
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office programs; QuickBooks experience preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with reconciliations
  • Excellent mathematical and computational skills
