AdventHealth Parker – Human Trafficking Training

AdventHealth Parker recognized that human trafficking may go undetected in health care settings. As a result, Human Trafficking Training (HHT) was offered to all ED staff to enhance their ability to identify and support individuals affected by human trafficking.

Successes include the following:

• 100% of ED staff completed the training
• ED nursing staff reported the following:
  • Greater confidence in identifying individuals affected by human trafficking.
  • Heightened awareness of available actions to support individuals affected by human trafficking.
  • Enhanced knowledge of mandatory reporting requirements for minors and adults.
