AdventHealth Littleton – ICU Vitality Initiative

AdventHealth Littleton’s ICU Vitality Initiative is a program that welcomes former ICU patients back to the hospital to reunite with the health care workers who provided care and support for them during their hospitalization.

Created by an AdventHealth Littleton nurse in 2024, the goal of the initiative is to reduce burnout among ICU nurses while fostering meaningful reconnection with former patients to support their long-term healing and emotional recovery.

Successes include the following:

• Patients have provided consistently positive feedback and strong support for this program.
• Feedback from nurses has been overwhelmingly positive, further validating the need for and success of this program.
