Infection Prevention

CHA recognizes and values the work Infection Preventionists (IPs) do every day to create a safer world through infection prevention. Colorado is fortunate to have IPs with backgrounds in nursing, medical technology, public health, medicine and many other professions. Our IPs are leaders in their hospitals, in the state and in the nation.

Recent reports find that approximately 1.7 million healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) occur in the United States each year. It is the dedicated infection prevention professionals who are leading change to reduce these infections.
